One of the biggest frustrations for buyers and real estate agents alike is when a purchaser who is ready to buy their dream home, can’t – because of bad credit.
It’s a waste of not only time but an emotional letdown as well. This leaves real human beings with an empty pit in their heart when they fall in love with a dream home, only to find out that poor credit puts a stake right through the deal.
What good real estate agents do from the onset is, along with their mortgage broker, run credit. It’s imperative to do this at the start of the journey. Sometimes there is not much of a problem at all and one is ready to go. But oftentimes, there are unknown dings on a credit report and other times, lots need to be addressed. Some of these dings are for being late for payment or collections and other times it’s an error in reporting. Regardless, once you are just starting to think about making a move, starting credit repair as early as possible is a must.
